- Alan:
-
- This sounds like my working environment. Make sure that you only have one
- WINSOCK.DLL in your path. In my case it is Novell's \NET\BIN directory.
-
- Multiple WINSOCK.DLLs will cause GPFs. I would also recommend upgrading to
- VLMs 1.1 if you haven't already done so.
-
- Good Luck - Nelson

- Are you certain that the data is not being sent? This is an educated
- stab in the dark:
-
- If you're using iptrace under AIX to watch incoming packets, be
- careful. iptrace doesn't necessarily write packet information to its
- trace file after every packet is received (writes to the trace file
- are buffered). It is a good habit never to run ipreport without
- stopping iptrace first.

- Subject: Possibly a GREAT Winsock Telnet?!?!?!
-
- I don't know if this is a "kosher" thing to do, but I downloaded the VxD beta
- from ftp.microsoft.com, and I didn't install it, but I just took the
- telnet.exe and ftp.exe files out, and I use them with Trumpet Winsock...The
- telnet is real good, but I want to know if I am doing something "wrong,"
- hopefully not illegal....
